Radisson Red Rooftop

Ropftop bars have become quite a social hit in Cape town. Actually I think the entire country is trending with rooftop spaces. For the next few weeks I will be exploring some in Cape Town & sharing them with you. Of course you mighthave already been to these spaces & have opinions of yourself. First up is the rooftop bar at the newly opened Radisson Red hotel in the Silo district. I first saw the Radisson rooftop from the silo hotel which gives it quite a clear view. I saw quite a young crowd & noted it on my spots to visit. Anyway I finally made a turn.

To access the rooftop you have to make a booking so please note that before going. It’s really a lovely space. There is a pool area & lounge chairs for a bit of R&R. I stand to be corrected but I think the pool is for hotel guests only. The views are quite amazing as you have a view of quite a bit of the water front  & parts of the city.

You also have view of the beautiful silo hotel from a side view. Great for those insta pics.

I had theee most amazing & filling burger. I would highly recommend it & it was quite affordable at just R90.  Their food menu is quite limited but big on portions & taste.

It’s really a laid back place & the dress code was laid back pool style. I wore a dress I made in December & my current favourite topshop mules.

One thing that I didn’t like was that there is no designated smoking area & people just smoke around you. Another thing which I was taken back by were the unisex bathrooms. I see this trend growing & maybe I must just get used to it. But it’s hard when you find the seat wet cause some guys just don’t lift their seats.

Have you been, what were your thoughts & any other places you might want to recommend??
