A weekend @ Spier

If you search my blog using the word Spier, over 5 posts will come up, that’s how much I love the estate. Because of this love of mine for it, I was lucky enough to get a chance to stay there for 2 nights.┬áThe number one thing about the Spier hotel upon arrival are the friendly staff. Because you are away from home, its so nice to be welcomed by friendly people because for me that sets the tone of the stay. The staff throughout the hotel were super friendly & professional. The hotel room was big, clean & private. I also love how they are water conscious as the is a huge water crisis in the Cape Town. Their hotel looks like a little village with all these beautifully painted houses for all the guests.

They offer a lot of activities for guests & day visitors. Of course to of my list was the wine tasting which I ended up doing two tasting. With choices starting from R40 for 5 wines, I really overstayed my welcome & got to really know their wines. The landscape is so beautiful with their historical buildings, I mean the estate is over 300 years old. On our second night there was a wedding there. I also saw some brides coming to take pics there.

I would recommend Spier if you are looking for a weekend escape not too far from the city but far enough to feel like a holiday. A place where u can stay the whole weekend without leaving the estate as they offer so many activities.

Thank you Spier for the opportunity to stay with you guys. I will be back very very soon.
