Franschoek Champagne Festival

I knew I was attending the champagne festival about a week ago, yet I was battling hard with what to wear. So I decided to rampage through my fabrics & create something. The theme for the festival is black & white & this year it had a touch of floral as an extra. I decided to stick to the Monochrome theme & I made these culottes. I didn’t get around to making the top so I just tied the remaining piece of fabric as a top. I think it all worked well as nothing fell out. My friend & partner in crime Asanda was by my side, Gosh the blessing that is friendship. ¬†All in all its agreat festival with champagne hello. I really liked the setting as you can see all the champagne tasting options & where you want to go next. Its quite a drive from Cape Town but hey, this life must be lived. Franschoek is a beautiful town so worth the drive. I would say consider it as the weather at this time of the year is a bliss. Tickets were R350 this year with 10 free tasting coupons & a champagne flute. Most estates have their champagnes are reduced prices as well so its a good place to stock up on bubbles for the festive season.
